I was on the road and needed wider mirrors, the place I was at gave me a couple pieces of angle iron about 8" long and the use of their shop, I drilled a couple holes in each, took the mirror off the bracket put it in one of the holes on the angle iron and the other hole bolted to the bracket...

I did spend a little time rounding the corners and even painted them gray...

Simple, cheap, UGLY, Vibrated a little, Got the job done!

They are now under my rear seat in case they are ever needed again.

-Enjoy

What you pick for mirrors and how happy you will be be depends a lot on how much you tow or back into tight places towing or not.

Plowing, I spend half my time in a lot in reverse, usually at night.
So mirrors that let you see as much as possible are the better choice.

Towing, wide beds and loads that block you view, good mirrors are almost a necessity.

The way people drive today, go for any spot that looks like the car will fit wether it makes sense or not, you need to see them.

More than once I have been backing into a parking space, and had someone jump in behind me.
With smaller mirrors I may have pushed them out of the space instead of giving them a good ration of caca.

i went with:
**** Stainless Steel West Coast Mirrors #92602/#92802/#92652

extends 18-23" 92602:

Universal fit - for use with full-size West Coast heads 92802:

7" x 16" 92652:

all stainless pieces.

$120 shipped! full-size West Coast not bad hey.
autoaccessories4less.com
amazon's prices where close, but didn't have everything at the time/would have been from diff suppliers etc.

they have the small round mirrors like Dave has on his too.

if you want to extend more, you can get this:
#70334 - 4" Low-Mount/Tripod Extender
**** discontinued part #92802
that's the stainless.you can only get that from them in white(i think) but black for sure.
what the heck.who wants to get stainless and then have to get black arms?
what a silly item to discontinue.

i see GROTE makes these arms, but they cost more naturally.
i guess they're not needed, but im gunna have to be careful not to bump anything cus there is nothing to give in the event of a close call at a drive through lol.
but im not paying $65 for these C-brackets.
