I replaced all 6 speakers with infinities. They sound much better, but aren't firing like they want to because I just have them hooked up to the sissy factory head unit. I plan on putting in an amp to power all 6 (piggy-back the back 4), utilizing a navoro line-input adaptor. I want to keep the Ford HU for security reasons and the simplicity of the theater set up! Just gotta make time to do it.
It's worth it when you're done. I stuck with the factory HU for the same reasons and a Navone line adapter to an Alpine amp for the door speakers. A couple of 10's in the barn doors are decent (shallow 12's would be better). Getting the rattles out of the barn doors has been challenging.
Joe-any pics of your under the seat subs? Sounds very interesting.
Ill work on it later today. The place did a great, clean install. They were the 6th place I went to and the only ones willing to do it. Other guys were less than willing and certainly not creative.
There is a subwoofer that replaces the center console in the front with a nearly identical unit that has the sub and power built in. you give up a ton of storage space from the console and the unit is pretty expensive too.
