LAST EDITED ON 20-Jun-01 AT 01:04 AM (EST)[p]I just recently put a pioneer 40x4 cd player in my mom's truck(92 f150 ext.cab), i also have some pioneer 100w max 6x9's i was wondering if they would work as a replacement for the back speakers, i read in crutchfield that the factory's are 6x8's. Will i have to do any mods to my moms truck to get them to fit? cuz if i do i'm not gonna bother w/it. has anybody done this before?

I am pretty sure that you would have to cut the holes larger to mount the 6X9's correctly. I have never done this is your model pickup, but I have done it in a 2000 Superduty. It is not a big pain, just a little time consuming. A Dremel will cut the hole nicely, a die grinder worked well for me.

Good Luck
