I like the black rims... I want to black out my whole truck I dont like chrome. Maybe just a little accent of chrome like the studs on those wheels or something. But my question is how does the black finish hold up over time? I for one plan on keeping my SD for a long time so longevity is something I'll factor in as well.

As for rim size I'm in the 17-18" group though, not big on the huge rim look personally, and my truck will see some off road, but thats just me I wouldnt discourage you from either.

You should be fine with that amount of off-roading... go for it and post up pics and your impressions of the tire/wheel combination.

I personally prefer the classic 10 hole look on a dually, but for a single I like it a little more aggressive than OEM. Surely there is someone here that can photoshop it for ya.

Id personally go with the 20". I prefer the looks of the amount of sidewall, and personally like the polished aluminum look best. Black looks cheap IMO, and chrome is too much sometimes.

Black is cheap. I'm not sure why you would spend the peso's on black rims when you could achieve the same look with a can of black spray paint. I also agree that chrome can be over done, there needs to be a clean balance. Me personally wouldn't go over 18"

You can make rims like the ones in the first post with just spray paint?

In all honesty though I have thought about painting my rims black, the factory ones just look horrible and it might be a temporary improvment. But the issue is you have to have good looking rims to start with. Its not just the color its the style of the rim. There is more to it than just color.

I'd not mind chrome finish, if done well its pretty durable. As long as black chrome though and not that shiny stuff!

I thought about mud tires for my denali. After finding out how much 22inch mud tires or any offroad tire cost. I blew off the idea. But now that im gonna have the factory 20's I may go with the 37s when i replace them. On the chrome comment, i agree. Black wheels with a chrome lip, yes. All chrome, no.
