Well, I got the HPOP replaced, but before I put it all back together I want to replace the EGR cooler hose. Trouble is... Ford said it is only available with either a new EGR cooler OR with an Intake kit. Either way it is way more money than just the hose is worth. Any suggestions or does anyone have a part number for the hose only?
Coolant hose for egr cooler - 4C4Z-8592-AA
Inner O-ring for outlet port - 3C3Z-9N693-FA (International: 1846975C1)
Outer O-ring for outlet port - 3C3Z-9N693-EA (International: 1846977C1)
I believe the International part # for the hose is 1837845C2
Thanks,
bismic - what are the 2 o-rings for that you have listed?
texans - I appreciate the offer, but I need to get the hose tomorrow so I can get the truck back up and running. (The wife is getting tired of me having her truck)
Martk, on the "output port were you refering to the output tube on the HPOP? If so, I replaced the entire tube assy. per recommendation from cheezit. My HPOP was definitely bad as when I turned it after removal, it spun freely for about 1/4 turn and then became stuck and required a much greater force to spin it past that point. I hope to see better performance as well as mileage. I also realize that injectors are probably the next thing on the list for things to "go". Also did the BB mod while it is apart. Do you have a part number for the oil cooler rebuild kit? Think maybe I should tackle that as long as it is down too.
