New coil

I'm wanting to replace my coil.Anyone have a favorite brand?What have you had the most success with? What kind of prices I'm I looking at to spend on one?

It's going on a '74 390 with breakerless points from the factory.

MSD or ACCEL, is just what i've heard, I guess it could be crap thoug. Maybe someone will back me

unless your running a modified motor or ignition I would just go with the stock replacement from the local parts store, many have a lifetime warranty

If you're running a stock setup, a "performance" coil will buy you nothing except more wear and tear on your existing setup. For a given plug gap, there's a given secondary voltage needed to arc. Buying a performance coil alone is a complete waste of money despite what "die hards" will tell you - it's physics. Unless you're going to upgrade the entire thing, stick with what you've got. A Duraspark upgrade from a later model pickup would be much more worth your time and effort.
