Windows won't roll down completely??

Just finished installing new regulators and solid side window kit in my '49 and the glass won't go down all the way. Bothsides stop about 1/4 to 3/8 of a inch above the top of the door. Any ideas or fixes for this ?

It's obviously a bad ground.

Manual Windows

These are mechanical regulators NOT power. Passenger side stops about 1/4" - 3/8" from the top of the door and the drivers side 'bout a 1/2".

I think Julie’s answer was tongue in cheek (hope so anyways) because as our resident local esteemed expert guru on all this electrical, that is her and everyone’s first answer to any electrical question which (I hope) we all knew it was not.

(Hey Dick Penn, when you have to elucidate, it losses some luster, huh?)

I've had the same problem with my driver's side door regulator every since I've had my truck on the road for the last 15+ years. It'll go down about half way, stick and I have to move the door handle, hear a clunk and then it'll go down all the way. I haven't fixed it in the last 15 years for three reasons, it gives the truck character, I'm too lazy to screw with it and it's on the passenger side, it really doesn't affect me much, I rarely sit on the passenger side.

Yes, I was joking. It's spring and all the electrical questions are popping up like weeds, and I'm a little electrically slap happy.

I had a choice with the Cliches - Use either the "It's a bad ground" or the "It'll buff right out" line.

I guess that's what I get for being a smart alec.

I didn't get mine in over the weekend so I have nothing useful to report. When I get it in I'll repost.

Julie, you left out, "It ran when parked", maybe tailor it to this discussion, "It work when I used it last".
