Morning Dave. I just love difficult jobs............Found a major crack in the aluminum frame yesterday. Now I get to take my Miller welder over there tomorrow and weld up the crack. It's nice being the only one in the county that can weld aluminum!

..............You can weld alum.!........I will have my buddies boat right over!.......seems 5-6 miles of upwind running at 30mph into big whitecaps was too much for some of his welds.
Bring it on over Dave. I've got a nice Millermatic 250 Mig welder with a spoolgun for alum and stainless! The nearest shop that can weld aluminum is over 100 miles away, so I get lot's of practice.......
don thats what i used before. i was good at aluminum. when i worked at negus and werner i used one. i bought one and negus was nice enough to buy it from me when they laid me off. so that was 600$ not wasted.
Mornin peeps! It figures........The first really nice day, and I have to work inside the shop today. Tomorrow I have to work outside again, any bets as to if it will be crappy tomorrow...
Hi all. Been busy the last few weeks working on "fleshy truck", '65, 352, 3sp truck. I put in a set of beemer bucket seats, power steering with a 78 tilt coumn, and a new set of wheels and tires. It still needs a new clutch, but I'm trying to decide if I should go with a C6 instead. For now it drives OK. I have a chrome rear bumber to put on, but the wife is going to Klamath Falls this weekend to help her Mom, so maybe then. Also pulled the 390 out of the '71 and got it out of the shop so there's more room! Don't have a place for the 390 yet, but I'm sure something will come up. Hope everyone has a good week.
