My favorite car of all time was my 67 GTO. It had a YS 400 pushing 450hp with a M-22 Muncie 4 speed. I could slam from 3rd to 4th at 90+ and it would go SIDEWAYS!!!

I had 69 Firebird convertible, 400 ram air, TH400..........Gorgeous car, but not that fast (heavy, I guess being a convertible)..........got my butt left behind by a 67 Mustang GT hi-po 289 fastback. Still wish I had it though!

Grew up with a 4 acre wrecking yard as a play ground and had more muscle cars then you could shake a stick at. My favorite was 69 CJ cobrajet 428 followed by a 68 fastback with a 390 4 speed, followed by 69 GTX with a 440 mag. The only Chevy I ever ran was a 70 1/2 Z28. I'd give my left n^t to have any of them back.
Oh please talk some more. I'm all aquiver, light headed, etc. Still remember my friend Bill's 67 gto. First time at 120 mph, then the corner got closer and we had to slow down. Great car, great 389, poor brakes, only slowed us to 100 then went by by, had to down shift to 3rd. Watched the tach go to 8000. We survived but the cam didn't. A couple of the lobes were alot shorter than the others. Still ran ok, just loped funny at idle. Oh to be 17 again. "NOT" See ya in the morning. Jeff

I think watching those 67 Mustang taillights pulling away from my Pontiac was the first step to my Ford conversion!..............Of all the muscle cars I have had, my 84 5.0 GT Mustang was the fastest, with a few "minor' modifications...............that thing just flat flew!!.....WARNING!......Fox body Mustangs start to "float" and come un-glued from the road at about 140-145mph!
