I've got a buddy that works for the NWS that told me this could be the worst winter for Oregon in 40 years. Sure hope he's wrong.....

I remember the winter of 1990 well......I owned an RV park in Pendleton and managed 52 house rentals for a out of state owner. It went down to 22 BELOW 0 and stayed there for 3 WEEKS! The whole RV park ( including my house) and all the rentals where FROZEN UP! Homes that where over 100 years old had their water pipes frozen for the first time!

I remember 90 as well.........we got freezing rain first, then 8 inches of snow over the top of it......was on the ground for a week and a 1/2. A real mess, 16-20 deg. for highs, no one with out a 4wd was going anywhere, and half of those could not drive on it to save their lives......My Bronco was the only rig on my street to move.

2001 was another bad year. My 50' boat sunk in the Umatilla Marina from to much snow on it. The salvage company wanted $50,000 to raise it! I put a crew together and raised it myself for $6,000....I still have the video of that....

1990 was ugly, we had so much snow here that it took out the roof of city haul and got so cold that outside propane tanks were bursting. Ugly year that was. I missed out on 2001, that was the year I moved to Arizona.

Seems like every 10 years or so we get a really bad winter, so we're due.
Brought Hiho Truck to work today, runs great! We're headed to K Falls this weekend to visit the inlaws, so I guess I'll start on the interior next week.

that was before my time. i was still in omaha then. that was before i met erin. i was racing and working at negus then. 02 i was at werner ent. working on the big rigs. erin drove a century class freightliner with a 53' trailer.
