What is this sensor for? 5.8 engine

Passenger side just above the starter. Mine is leaking what seems to be coolant. I thought this was the sensor for the computer but the Autozone replacement doesn't have the same number of pins.

That's not a sensor that's the block heater. If you don't live in a nothern climate where you need this for the winter it can be replaced with a plain plug.

My truck was originally exported to Canada. No need for a block heater in So. Cal.

A regular freeze plug? Aren't there threads this heater screws into or is it pressed in?
