What is this sensor??


Found this with plug unhooked what is it and should it be hooked up?
Black sensor above green conection.

What vehicle/engine is this? Sorta looks like a 7.3 but being sideways and so close I'm not sure...

I gound a picture on another site that sais its the wastgate sensor. But i have a aftermarket turbo "turbonetics" should this be hooked up?

If you still have a vacuum controlled wastegate, I would think it should be hooked up. Are you not getting any codes thrown?

I have not checked with a scanner but the cel light is not on. I was also told by dp tuner to connect it. The ex was like that when i got it. Problem is it has so much stuff on it that its hard to know what is what. I have been trying to get ahold of the past owner to ask what it has.

Even tho you're not getting codes, I'd plug the sensor in and see what happens. If they had not wanted it there when they did the build, you would think they'd have eliminated it.

Not only is the wires not plugged in, it's missing a vac line.

If you dont have this (red circle), you probably dont need the actuator. If you do have it but there is another vacuum line plugged in, you should be fine.
