Looking for a decent set at a fair price, tired of using cheap plastic auto part store stuff. I would like something that would go nicely on my 85 f150s 302.
just got my first two spark plug wires on and I just noticed I either got the wrong set or I need headers? The set I got has 2 different 90 degree boots for the distributor cap, I found the ones that have the adapter for the msd cap (it locks all the wires in place on the distributor) were the ones that fit the distributor. The 90 degree "MSD" cap ends fit perfectly for the #1 without any issues but when I went to install the other side #5 I quickly realized the boot was going to be against the cylinder head or manifold. Not sure if I should go buy some cheap omni sparks from the auto parts store and replace them with the msd when I get headers or if I should find some affordable straight boots.
I'm with you. also tired of replacing the parts store's junk parts, and poor fitment "like plug wires that are either a foot to long or to short" go to summit racing, they have good wire seperator rails that bolt on with the vc bolts and start ordering universal or cut to length wires. I go with the straight plug boots. I order everything I can from summit, have never had an issue of anykind. they can actually answer questions about the parts you order! cause they have used them.
