I thought it was directed at the ringing sound. I was ready to pull the trigger on one and still might some day. But my truck does a 4400k mile 5er pull in the summer and I dang sure don't want to listen to that the whole way. But, since this noise has become common in the newer 38r, there have been a bunch of videos documenting the noise and it seems to be in the lower range of boost. BUT, I still don't remember seeing a video of it under load (i.e. pulling a 5er) on flat ground or on western grades.

The AIS really does a good job muffling the noise, I'm a bit to old to want to listen to all that, for sure when I was younger I'd be all over that 6637 allot of guys like on here. I do notice that this turbo takes allot longer to stop spinning after I shut the truck down, pretty cool. I think you will like the 38r : )

Your right Dan, Tenn Mike made a very cool and truthfull quote, said theirs nothing like the sound of a 38R in the morning, powwa.

Prolly the best way to go about it is, try to find somebody to take a ride with that has one Jason before you drop that amount of coin only to not like it, its all personal preference, even with mine, I had to get used to it in my personal truck because I didn't have it in mine. I drive big trucks and I'm used to big turbos spooling all the time so its no problem here. Its really not obnoxious, I think the ATS ported housing and WW combo is louder IMO, heard it first hand.
