hay guys i was in the parts store picking up oil change for the wifes GMC and was looking at filters for my 2002 truck.
i run MOTORCRAFT but i get a small leake everytime not enough to drip but it will run about 1/2/to 3/4 the way down side of filter.
i have ran it up then 3/4 turn , done it up tight, and have tightened it as hard as i can.
still the same result.
so i was looking into something else.
i saw STP filter looks well put together .
the MOBIL 1 was just as good looking.
so does anyone have info on either one or is the motorcraft filter good enough filtration.
i do pre oil the gaskets on the filter and clean the matting surface on the truck.
i change my oil and filter every 5000 miles.
the price on all them is within 2 or 3 bucks .
i think i change the oil soon enough that the oem filter is good enough but if price is close it cant hurt to buy something better, if its worth it.
