Yet another RABS question ...

I think I read that for my 1996 F150 4x2, RABS should kick in when it detected that BOTH rear wheels had locked / stopped turning. So what I don't understand is this: How does RABs determine if the vehicle is still moving? If it's only looking at the rear wheel sensors / differential, I'm not sure how this would work. One particular for instance: If you had a locker, and both rear wheels turned or stopped together, how would the system know when to activate RABs? Is it referencing some accelerometer or something?

If the rate of deceleration is too great, it'll kick in. The system doesn't really work below 5-8mph if you lock both rear wheels though.
