transfer case control lever
Does anybody know what the control lever assembly for the transfer case on a 1994 Big Bronco looks like? I noticed the shift lever was loose, so I took a look underneath, and it's just slipping around inside a pinch fitting. The lever is drilled, so I suspect that there was a part, that is MIA. I pulled out my Haynes manual, and it lists the control lever parts under the diagram, but somehow the control lever didn't make it into the diagram (parts 1-8 and 11-15 are shown, but 9 & 10 are MIA). The nearest Ford dealer is about a half hour's drive away, so I figured I'd ask first. The Haynes manual says it's a "late model B-W 13-56 manual shift transfer case".
I switched from a 1980 K5 Blazer to a 1984 Bronco, and I've never looked back. Today, I drive my 1994 Bronco (fifth one). I couldn't stomach an Expedition, even if they sold it with a stick. That 5.0L V8 with the 5spOD stick is a super setup for the mountains. I replaced all the rubber bushings with graphite impregenated neoprene ones, switched the shocks to KYB gas shocks and am on my last set of Pirelli Scorpion Is. I go quickly on washboard and icy roads, so I'm not interested in lifting the suspension. Looking out the side windows to see where I'm going, steering with my right foot, is how I like it <g>. Must have something to do with 18 seasons of plowing snow (in other trucks).
It has about 50k miles on it, and I'm going to keep it as long as possible. I only wish Pirelli still made the Scorpion I's. Those were superb tires.

Take a look here:

For more t case info and pics or if the gif doesn't load, then go to:
Punch in year and Bronco and then look under Drivetrain category.
I figure the next time I'm in town, I'll check the microfiche at the dealer (or have they gone to CD-ROM?). It shouldn't be that big of a deal. the parts link is useful anyway. I do appreciate it.
