Does anyone have the complete list of casting numbers on SCJ and CJ blocks? I am looking to find any block with 4 bolt mains on 2,3,and 4 journals. (SCJ had 'em on #1 as well)Thanks a bunch!
Oh, and is a D10Z 6015 A2A a 4 bolt? Curious...
What was the most common 460 block used in 70's Ford trucks?

Ok....you could try to find a late model truck 460 block. These had the 4 bolt mains. The Boss, and CJ blocks also had the 4 bolt mains to them. Casting numbers to look for....
CJ, SCJ, and PI..... D0OE-B or D0VE-A
Boss..................... C9AE-E
Truck block........... D7TE OR D8TE
Hmmm, didn't see my engine in the list. My '76 Supercab has the casting D1VE 6015 A2A, and as far as I know, it is original, but I can't be certain, as the previous owner knows nothing about it!
Just wondering if this was a common block in the trucks...

DIVE-A2A is the most common early 385 block, cast from 1971 through 1978.
CJ/SCJ were all DOVE-A and DIVE-AA blocks. Both blocks were finished in 2 and 4-bolt versions. These are the only 385 non-boss blocks produced with thick main bearing webs suitable for production 4-bolt main bearing caps.
All SCJ were 4-bolt mains, CJ were primarily 2-bolt with some 4-bolt. '70/71 PI were CJ engines. The '72-74 PI block was standard
production 6015-A2A.
I'm not aware of any truck block being produced with 4-bolt mains.
Several companies produce 4-bolt main bearing conversions for DIVE-A2A and other thin-webbed 385 blocks. Users state that the conversions will handle 750-850hp.
Beyond that, you want the A-460 performance block.

D0VE-A and D1VE-AA are the casting number for both CJ and SCJ blocks. SCJ had the 4 bolt mains on 2,3 and 4th journals. SCJ did not have a 4 bolt cap on number 1 journal.
C9AE-E is 429 Boss with 4 bolt mains on 1,2,3 and 4.
Oh yeah, right sorry, the street Boss block had that 4 bolt touch on number one...
So anyway, being that mine is a D1VE 6015 like George mentioned, isn't that a PI block?
I was only guessing it was 'A2A' at the end, but it could be just the 'A'. (I couldn't see past the 'A' with the starter in the way)
