Another vote for rotors. When mine was doing that, I found my rotors lookin' like the pic below. Weird thing was, it only shook after about 5 miles of downhill braking. Even then, the shaking wasn't really all that bad.
I bought the new rotors and pads as a "preventive maintenance" measure before I even looked at them. I figured I'd replace them before they got bad
I just checked my rotors. The passenger front has .014" TIR runout, and the driver side front has .02" TIR runout. I got these numbers by placing a dial indicator against the surface of the rotor and turnigh the wheel. While doing this you can hear the brake pads rubbing on the rotor as it turns. Dose anyone know what the spec is for runout?
