Fuel additives?

I have heard some talk form people that I know in the local area that it is a good idea to add an additive to my fuel tank every time I fill up. Is this true? Is there a preferred additive? Does Ford recommend it and does my local dealership have something for me to buy? Thank you in advance for the advice.

I use these products, Opti-Lube,,, Opti-Lube Advanced Lubricants

You may want to look into installing a coolant filter. Apparently the casting leaves a lot of sand in the block. I installed one also and am about to change the filter soon to see how much sand has been removed.

George,

Thanks for the info. How hard it is to install a coolant filter? I still have a bunch of warranty left and do not want to void it.

Not hard at all, because I did my own. lol Maybe 45 min. and 15 of those are reading directions, lol

It should not affect your warranty.
