I've been using it for about 4 months, and it works as well as the DK. As a Schaeffer rep myself, I'm still testing it and need to do some additional side-by-side comparisons for my own curiosity's sake. I know that the Schaeffer Diesel Treat has excellent acid neutralization properties and can perform a very high degree of water stabilization (keeping water from separating out of the fuel in your tank).
Historically, I ran the DK for over a year, and then ran the Stanadyne for a short time, then ran the Opti-Lube XPD for over a year. After running the third tankfull of fuel on the Diesel Treat, I can tell a difference in SOTP performance. Though I honestly don't often put a lot of in the SOTP "meter", I was neither looking for nor expecting the feel any performance difference, and it is something that has slowly dawned on me over the past couple of months. I've even run a tank or two without the additive and can definitely tell the difference.
Some additional info to what has been already posted:
Schaeffer's Dieseltreat 2000 (summer Blend) scored much better for added lubricity that DieselKleen. Here's a chart that many have seen before, done by Southwest Research & DieselPlace.com
For those living up North here is a Cold Flow test done with Schaeffer's Winterized Dieseltreat. Brought the gelling point down a good 25 degrees. Much more cost effective than running a mix of #1 and #2.
