I have a 65 F-250 With the 352 V8 and Std Tranny. I need the Plug that goes on tyhe back of the Camshaft. (In the block behind the flywheel). Can anyone tell me where I can get this part. The old one popped out and is stamped 2 3/8. I assume this to be the size. Is it correct. Any help is appreciated.
I have tried all the local parts stores and have had no luck. Can anyone tell me where I can find on and what is the actual size.
Thanks NH

Reason: change
Is this the set that includes the cam plug? I see one larger steel plug, is that the feller in question? $13 for the whole set if that's the only way to get them....
That particular plug goes in "backwards" on the FE compared to most other engines. I'm guessin you probably allready knew that but just thought I'd chime that in just in case.
backwards? does it really fit like that? i just installed mine the way i the other plugs are installed... you are saying i did it wrong? drag. how do you get it to drive in compress and seal?
Well which end of the plug is facing the butt of the camshaft? If you were to take a water glass and flip it drinking side down, that's how the plug is supposed to go in on an FE. It isn't just a regular freeze plug either, it has a taper to it I believe. I think I just put a film of "The Right Stuff" gasket maker around the outside edge of the plug.
