I am needing to see if a Clark 285V trans will bolt up to a FE360? An what other 5 speed manual trans will bolt to a FE360? Also will the new clutch I bought for it work ok with the Clark 285V?
You will need an FT bell and some machine work for the input shaft to fit the pilot bearing for the FE. NOTE__IIRC. Dino has posted on this installation in the past. Can't put my fingers on that post at the moment, but maybe later.

ps- Over on a Bump website forum that cannot be named here, :(
a machinist is talking about cutting the bellhousing off a ZF and
making the ZF then fit an FE bellhousing.
A couple guys over there are saying it's easier than it sounds.

It's just that, I don't know how! ;)
Do you? :)
I took a clark 265 out from a bus that had a 330 M/D in it. I used the flywheel, bellhousing. I bought a new starter, clutch, pressure plate, pilot bearing and throwout bearing by application for the Bus and everything fitted up and worked on my 352 FE out of a Galaxie that had a auto trans.
