was driving in 4X4 in 6 inches of snow around 30mph...all of a sudden heard a "bang" from transfer case?? and wheels locked up....felt like driver's rear.
runs fine in 2WD....also tested 4WD on dry pavement and no problems. Occasionally hearing a whining or squeaking sound from the wheel....intermittent.
Please any ideas???? BTW I have very little mechanical ability and wouldnt be doing any work myself....just trying to asses the magnitude of the problem as I may be replacing the truck depending on how much this will cost me.
