Question Rev X oil additive yay? nay?

anyone ever use this product I've heard people say it really works? Lubrication Specialites | REV-X | V-Twin | Oil Additive | Diesel Fuel Additive | Performance Oil I'm going to be changing my oil with 10w30 t5 rotella after I replace my #2 and #4 injectors that some of you probably have seen me talking about but I was wondering if it might be a good idea to run it just for that 3k miles then after that no more additive also anyone have thoughts on the rotella t5?

Rev-x and Hot Shot's Secret are the only two oil additives I'm aware of that are currently accepted in the 6.0. Mixed feelings on both. Won't hurt anything though.

A search would have given you a lot of threads about it.

Rev X definently solved my injector stiction problem during the winter with 8 oz's, and has given the same results to many other 6.0 psd owners. The only drawback is this product is kinda pricey. The interesting thing about this Rex X product is that they claim all kinds of benefits which I wouldn't go on the record and say it does what they claim it's does; however it does one thing that they don't claim and is to resolve injector stiction.

I've read the first dose is to add 8 oz and then 4 oz every oil change thereafter.

I live in upstate NY and run 5w40 year round without issue. Remeber that the 6.0 will shear oil down from a 40 wt. to a 30 wt. in 5,000 miles. I would have to see what a 30 wt. shears to in that time.

are you by anychance in the rochester area? I'm trying to find fuel filter caps aswell as the filter kit I've called all the local dealerships aswell as the local International dealer (still waiting to hear back from them) was wondering if you had any ideas of other places to find them

I am in the Albany area. I dont have a fuel filter cap. Have you looked at the dieselsite.com. They have the billet ones. You can also buy your FF's from him as well.

As far as the dealer and FF's they should have them. They have been redesigned so the primary filter will look different then the one you take out.
