97 F-53 Stripped Chassis Shift Cable

In their wisdom, Ford discontinued this part with no replacement. I notice several RV owners are in need of this part but it can't be located through obsolete part search or salvage. Am unable to find who even made them for Ford. Can anyone help? Any ideas? Thanks.
