As for temp switch I use an adjustable temp switch. Very easy to adjust to your liking.
I use a single fan with dual speeds. Although I do not have mine hooked up to my AC because my ac is not functional.
Summit does have smaller fans that run parallel.
My fan had to have brackets fabricated to bolt in place. I just had some scrap metal laying around and did the necessary bends to make it work. I don't know how your electric fans shroud looks but a little engineering will make it work.
Sweet.. just got the Fan controller and a relay setup with a circuit breaker. Total for this fan conversion; $70.
That's the same controller I have. Paid $7 for it at o'reilly auto parts. As for the dual speed I think once you hook your condenser up it will notice the extra demand and kick up higher or override the temp control and run constantly. I"m not sure though since don't have my condenser hooked up ( ac don't work )
^ Parts will be here tomorrow. Where did you put the temp probe? I've seen it before where you can stick it in the fins of the radiator, but I'm not sure if my 1995 Stock radiator will like that too too much. I was thinking about making a T adapter out of PVC to splice into the top coolant hose. I don't have a plastic welder though and I don't think PVC Adhesive/Epoxy will hold 12lbs @ 210*.
That style temp probe will just have to rest up against the radiator, you do not stick it into the fluid by any means. It will have a mounting kit that does poke through the radiator to support the probe against the fins. From there you will accurately determine what temp you want it to turn on at. Easy way is to let the truck warm up to operating temp and adjust the fan to kick in, then bump the temp up a notch, so it turns on just over desired operating temp. Readjust if needed.
If you need a pic I can take one tonight when I get home.
^ Ah thanx bro.. I'll just stick the probe in the rad fins near the top hose somewhere. I'll have to pick up a temp laser thing. I need one for my Nitro RC truck anyway. I'm also curious to see what temp the coolant/rad is at the bottom and opposite end. Wondering how efficient it is without the fan.
