gotta love it. while frequenting a RV forum I notice a guy saying he had a US Gear OD he wasn't using. I contacted him and we talked. long story short as I was driving through Amarillo yesterday anyway I stopped and bought the thing. My thought was if this thing is now an orphan a spare might be a good idea. now I just have to find a place to store it
Gotta love spare parts
Hmmmm.... I may just have to blackmail that OD out of you, now that there are a couple doors sitting in my basement..... hahahahahaha!!! congrats on the score!
Not needed. Share the closet, but he gets the basement storage, & I get the kitchen storage. BTW that's where the groceries are. Now you know the rest of the story. LOL
Brendan,
We really appreciate your kindness in fetching those doors for us. We are trying to work our schedule so we can come get them. Grandson #2 is about to arrive in Idaho and job starts in Salt Lake City.... YIKES!! one vehicle and 3 places to be. PM Barney your address so I can get you your $.
Thanks again.

You're very welcome! I still need to go back & get the wiring harness but we got 10" of snow Tuesday, and while it's mostly gone already, we're getting rain today, snow tomorrow, and trying to fish out that thick wiring bundle when it's that cold 1) stinks, and 2) might damage wires on the metal edges. I'm keeping in touch with the guy though, so I'll get it.
I'm looking forward to it as it'll give a good excuse to hang out with you both again!
There is another option: I can strip out the parts, take tons of pictures, and ship all that stuff to you. I'd love to have you both visit, but if you figure out the cost in fuel, I'm sure it'd be cheaper that way. Well, except for maybe that rear window..... Tell you what, if one of you has time to call & chat about it, I'm off work today and will be around all weekend. We'll get this figured out.
I looked inside their camper and inside the tool box behind the cab of the truck, and I don't know where ya'll will put that OD. The 2 dogs take the whole back seat of the truck, so thats out.
