Headlights in

Update: bought my wiring kit at O'reily's for the halogen lamps easy fix there and installed the halogens without a hitch the composites came right out.

Only problem I had was chasing down a left bottom adjuster, so I got one out of a Ford van. Only difference was the length of the adjuster comes up to the top of lamp no big there.

I called the Ford dealer only way to get the new adjuster is to actually buy the whole head unit "go figure! at 200 a pop do not think so!

So I'm get to go now with the lights need to unfreeze the one adjuster to bring it down some and I can see really well now.

thanks for the help much appreciated

Replacing sealed beams with projector, wiring?

I bought some projector/LED/halo headlights for my 2010 F250 XL, and then discovered the wiring doesn't match. The small print in the ebay seller's ad says they don't work for trucks with factory sealed beams.
I like the new headlights, and want to make them work. I asked the seller if I could simply connect the wires together without using the factory connectors, and was told they offer no installation advice.
I can return them if I do not damage anything.
They are ebay item number 381181042993.
They physically fit just fine; it is just the wiring.
Is there a connector kit that will allow me to do this retrofit without cutting any wires?
Will I need ballasts or relays?
Thanks for any advice.

There should be an adapter that goes from H13 to H4 already in place if it came with the sealed beams.

if you can't find that, you could always get an H4 to H13 adapter.

Thank you.
That worked just fine; I found the connectors.
Now, how do I switch the DRL from the headlights to the parking (and halo) lights?

That is a very good question.
At one point I wanted to do the same thing. I do not have DRL though (they can always be disabled in the SJB programming). I looked into ways to make the running & marker lights come on with ignition, but ultimately found that the easiest way is to just turn the **** over a click after I start it... it's amazing how easy it is once it's a habit.

The only automatic solution I came up with used an MSP430 from TI, and a few resistors. This was only on paper, I never built the circuit, but it would attach between the harness and the headlamp switch. The only input would be the ignition hot. The MSP would be programmed to drive the marker lamp circuit high a few seconds after the engine start. Everything else would just pass through. This could be done with a relay and a couple diodes, too. I wanted to use the MSP for eventual additional functionality.

Forgive me if I missed the answer somewhere. 04 F250 XL, wish to replace sealed beams with a composite XLT style headlight and markers. Everything I look at say will not fit sealed beam?
Does that mean it will not fit, or it "can" fit.....LOL
Thanks

It "can" fit. I believe if you use the 2004 lights they will go right in. I put 2005 lights in my 2001 XL and had to cut the header but to me was well worth it.
