wrongo! you can just pull the chip out wihtany issues, just make sure your keys are out of the ignition. the only reason hyou take the pcm ot is to clean the contacts, its next to impossible to clean them thoroughly when doing it on a fresh pcm. you do not have to take out the batt cables, i have done several succesful chip swaps and installs, then againthe pcm power waskilled... the 8mm bolt on the harness you loosen a little t a time and pull it off, no biggy. let us know!
OK guys decided to do like yall said and reach in there and pull it out,the hardest part was me just getting enough nerve to reach in there and pull it out.It was like yall said,nothing to it.Thanks for sticking with this old man on this.
