headlight removal help
Trying to remove pretty much everything up front to make room for the new intercooler. I guess Ford decided to make it as hard as possible to remove headlights and the big piece of black plastic that holds them on . Does anyone have any pointers? It looks like there are clips that would need a spanner wrench up near the hood latch. Do I need to remove these?

the headlights are held onto the header panel by the PITA clips, not bolts i don't think. they are on the back side of the header panel and are tighter than a gorillas fist to get out. thats why u take 'em out with the header panel and then work on them on the bench. there are 3 studs with nuts that hold on the turn signals and stuff i thought?

It's not that big a deal, but the whole panel has to come off with the headlights on. The headlight clips are impossible to remove while on the truck. each side has two 11mm bolts that you access in front of the batteries which hold the sinal lights in place. Remove these, and the remaining bolts are easily accessed from the front, and think are 8mm. The grill will also have to come off. The hardest part are the four 11mm bolts, but even that's not that big a deal once you find them. Removing the plastic strip in on top of the radiator support makes it easier to find all the bolts.
