2000 Ranger Front hubs
Hi, I just purchased a 2000 ranger XLT 4x4 extended cab and one of the first things I was going to do was switch the PVH hub to the AVM manuals, The production date on the door sticker is 12/99 so I figured it would have the PVH hubs, I was about to order the replacement hubs when I decided to pull the wheel center caps off and check to see what things looked like, Good thing I did as my truck does not have PVH hubs it has what I believe are the live axles, I had read that Ford used the PVH's on 97-2000(until 7/2000)Rangers but evidently this is not the case as my Ranger does not have them, I have read that the live axles can be converted so that the AVM locking hubs can be used but I really do not want to get that involved with replacing parts.
I just figured I would post this info as it seems that even some early 2000 rangers did not use the PVH hubs.
