I just purchased a 2005 F250 with the 6.0. I am trying to use the upfitter switch to run a viair compressor off of. The fuses are good, but I get nothing after I start the truck and switch the upfitter switch. I am using a light tester and am getting nothing out of the power side of the wires behind the fuse panel. What else should I be looking at as to why the switches aren't getting power.. Also do the upfitters light up when they are powered up?
yes, when you flip the upfitter switch, the light on the end will turn on.
if that light does not come on, check to see if you can hear the relay click. S-L-O-W-L-Y move the switch from off to on and listen for the relay to click... if it does not, then the system is not working properly
What would be the possible problems that I should check out to get it to work properly? No click sound.. The fuses all look good under the steering wheel.
If you ae refering to the click of the switch as I move it up and down then yes there is a click, but no click of anything turning on if that is what you mean. But the lights at the end of the switch do not come on.
I have a 2009 f250 sd. The relays for the upfitters is under the hood on the drivers side next to the fender in a black power distribution box. Check your owners manuel for what # is for the switches
