Starter switch Motorcraft SW-583 Problems

Can't you just check the closed circuits with a test light and battery? Turn the key on acc-check circuits, on run-check circuits, have friend or tape hold start-check circuits? Think or write it down if needed. One being separated from the others and the sweep of the key might offer clues too. Good luck, I am sure you can figure it out.

The problem (and has been for decades) is...that C7UZ11572A (Motorcraft SW583) is not the original ignition switch for a 1961/66.
It's the FoMoCo Service Part Replacement for the original 1961/66 switch: C3AZ11572A (Motorcraft SW353).
SW583 has an extra wire terminal on it.
The original applications for SW583 were 1967 Econolines & 1967/77 Bronco's.
