rear end question?

i was wondering what the difference between the rear in a dual rear wheel and a signle rear wheel? can i turn a single in to a dual rear wheel with just wheels?

Short answer, IDK . I believe you could install the wheel adapters and perhaps the brakes to make the rear axle support 4 tires, BUT... the rear ends for the SRW and DRW are different. Sterling 10.5 for your SRW, Dana 80 for the DRW (both for the 350) The Dana unit is a fair amount stronger, obviously for a 1 ton truck.

Very different axles, so even if you got the wheels on the Sterling, I'm not sure how it would fair with all that additional unsprung weight hanging on the ends. May be too much for your bearings.

No, you can't just add wheels. You need the whole axle/diff ***'y to do it.
