hard starting
So my truck starts as thou the battery is almost dead, if it starts at all. It always turns over but rairly has enough to fire after it has sat for 8 hours or so. I had the battery tested and it tested 100%. does anybody have any ideas of what could be robbing the power. i thought maybe the starter is starting to go out or maybe a bad ground somewhere. any help would be great.

i would measure battery voltage to be above 12.5 when setting, not running. have someone crank the motor and see if the voltage stays up above 12 v. If the battery is up, and slow cranking, then it has bad wires or starter motor.. If the voltage drops, get a new battery.... charge it up full with a charger prior to the test.

my truck cranks hard with its like below 20 degrees Feirenheit, like theres no oil on the piston walls, just i turn it over let the truck take off on its own, if its super cold out i give just enough gas to keep it running till the oil can reach the walls, i run Mobil 1 5-30, last winter i ran 10-30 regular and it took probably a could 30 seconds to a minute before it would idle on its own, wouldnt start on its own, this winter was alittle better with the mobil 1 in it
i guess what im trying to say if its cold where you live that could be an issue
