I'm so happy!!!

So, i've been gather parts for the '54 for a long time...making a list...checking it off one at a time. When I bought the truck the PO said it had a 239 Y block in it. I took his word for it and never checked the block codes for myself.

the other day I descide to...to my suprise I found I have a 272 in it!...that made my day...Now I can beef it up a bit...put a nice 4v intake on it...maybe down the road through some 1957 292 heads on it...pretty cool though...I am switching to 12V, so I'm updating the dstrib...taking the points out and making it electronic...got a nice one wire Alt and a flamthrower coil...found some realy nice used rams horn headers for cheep...

Wow, it's always nice when you get one of those "Once-in-a-Million" times the PO screw up works out well!

Take a look in my #4 gallery for some great generic wiring diagrams for 12 volt ideas!

thats awesome to here. Finding a little treasure you never expected that was practically free.

Just goes to show you that the PO doesnt know everything and to check things like this.
