tail light electrical problem help
i went over to my grandparents and got my grandpas truck to do some work on it for him and heres what makes no sense, ive got running lights on the rear, the left turn signal works but the right one doesnt, and no brake lights also when i turn the running lights on the right turn signal indicator on the dash comes on, also did ford ever come out with a factory brake box for a trailer and if so what did it look like truck is mostly orignal from what i can tell, its 76 with a 77 grill 351m or 400 not sure, f150 xlt with almost ever option for that year, the wiring has been hacked on at some point in its life, as there is black tape wraped around almost every wire concievable, and how did the BOO (brake on an off) switch wire up to the rear tail lights, thanks in advance

That's correct, when the TSS goes bad it can cause problems with the tail lights that mimic a bad ground or a short, just all around weirdness.
