The dealer should be contacting the hotline. They give the dealer recommendations to try. When those don't work, they usually escalate it to have an engineer come out and test drive it and give his recommendations. If this isn't getting done, either go to another dealer, or file a lemon compliant with the BBB and it usually wakens the dealer up to follow the right path.

Just got back from a test drive with two of the dealerships technicians. I was only able to make the symptoms reappear one little time. They acknowledged there was a problem and that they were working with Ford techs. but no solution at this time. They left me with "that's the way it is for now". <?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-comfficeffice" /><o></o>

Yeah, standard response which means' I don't know how to fix it'. Doesn't make you feel like they are concerned with fixing it.
when trans is ok its great, when trans is bad its bad
Just took our 09 5.4 4x4 Supercrew in due to the shifting problem. When it is working well its a nice set up and great for gas mileagein an almost 6000 pound truck. It just sucks when it starts to act up though.

I got a call from my dealership just before Christmas. They said they had a bulletin with a computer update to fix the shuddering transmission problem. I took it in the next day. So far seem to be okay.
I'm at 7k on my 2010 and it's behaving pretty well overall. If I get in it, it shifts firm and revs out in each gear as it should. Lighter driving = quicker shifts to 6th.
There is a thread about 3 threads down about trans issues with the 09/10 6 speed. Go there. There is a search feature on the forum as well and it would be good to check this if you have a question about something that has probably been discussed before

sssssssoooooo...your answer to his question is???? do you have issues with yours or not?
love it, it never fails to have someone answer a tread by assuming your a total *** "ooh, ooh search, search!" . a link to other treads would have made a more appreciated response
anyways I found my '10 to have a bit of a hard shift 1-2, 2-1 and a bit of a lag when I punch the accelerator but, I do realize these are "trucks" with new 6 speeds trans and trottle by wire and other guizmos which is going to feel very different and will take time to get use to. so, rather than wait for the tranny to adjust to you...get used to your new truck and it's driving characteristics. the more I do that I feel like the truck drives a lot better( none the less if I still want to, I could bring it to the dealer for a reflash or diagnosis just to have record of my complaint just for warranty purpose)
My 2010 F150 is clunking and slipping on downshift, it has 8000 miles on it. Sometimes when it downshifts it clunks and shakes, feels like your shoving it in 4x4 at high speeds or something. Does anyone know what TSB ya'll are talking about, the dealer says he doesn't have a TSB for the transmission on these trucks.
2009 stx, 25,xxx miles. for the first 3000 or so shifted a little hard 1-2, 2-1, but the last 20,000 she shifts great, pulls my trailer of fire wood with no probs, and gets about 17.5 mpg.
