Steering box alignment issues
I recently installed a reman steering box onto my '72, and now I'm having a problem with the steering shaft lining up to the mounting flange on the box. I'd say it's about 1/2"-3/4" off.
I can hook them together with the rubber coupler, but it seems like the coupler is stressed too much with that much misalignment. I don't trust it.
Does anyone know of some sort of universal joint set-up I could use? I tried loosening & adjusting the steering column & it helped a little, but it's still not right.
