Push rod orientation

I was pulling the injector cups in a friends truck today and noticed that one bank had the pushrods installed with the shiny brass colored end up and the other had the silvery end up. Which way is right? I compared the holes in the ends of the pushrods and I see that one is smaller than the other so i need to set this thing back up correctly.

side note

Also I had one cup obviously cracked and i suspect at least one more was leaking around the tip.

What should I do with this injector?? I think it should be replaced but don't want to do that if that is not necessary. The one on the left is the one in question.

The copper end goes up on the push rods. The injector tip is black from not being properly torqued and/ or from the copper washer burning away. Should be fine just clean it and make sure to put all new o-rings and copper washer on.

Thanks Clay. I thought that the push rod felt like it fit the rocker better with the copper end up. Can't figure out why the one side is upside down. I hope it didn't ruin one side of rods since its been that way for at least 50000mi or so.(guess since thats when gary bought it) They seeme fine and the rockers look fine.
