My SCT X-cal2 can't see sync or FICM sync, I'm not sure if it can monitor ICP pressure, but I'll try...

Is there test port where I can monitor oil pressure?

you would have to remove the sender and hook in there.

New update:

We went back in and thinking that the new ICP may actually be bad, unplugged the sensor.....still no start, funny thing is it sounded like it was about to fire then lost it...

Plugged the sensor back in but, still no start...

My SCT only shows me so much while datalogging, so I'm working with what I've got. I was able to monitor (what I think was) the ICP voltage; as I cranked it showed some movement and was between 2.50-4.00 sometimes higher while cranking. When we disconnected the sensor, it never showed any voltage, so we know the wiring was done correctly. (two different people checked it twice after all)

I'm not sure what the duty cycle for the ICP is supposed to be, but I was able to see that too.

Since it didn't work with the sensor connected or disconnected, we all came to the conclusion that it's gotta be the HPOP. Is there anything else that would prevent this truck from starting?

Bismic? Cheezit? Anyone?

Am I wrong to think it's the HPOP?

Are you wrong to think its the pump... no not really but its not a cheep part to guess at.

lot of things can make a truck not start. in truth you really dont have the scan tool ability to "know" its a pump.

sorry but thats the best I can offer... I just dont have enugh info to go on to head you in a good direction.

Right you are, it is an expensive part to replace based on a simple hunch...

You mentioned that theres some sort of test port near the oil filter, I looked for it and think I missed it somehow. Where on the oil filter specifically would I look? Skidog223 has a way to test oil pressure, but I don't see the fitting...

man the basic test is easy. remove the oil filter and in side thehousing is a little black button hold it down and crank the engine if it fills up you have base oil. if its slow to fill then remove the sender and intall a manule gauge. if you have an aluminum aftermarket cap most of them have a place to install a gauge.

You could pull a valve cover and put a gauge on the high pressure oil rail, there is an allen screw in the top of both rails. The fitting is small but there are adapters as that is where I pressurize the system to check for leaks.Though you need a high psi gauge (cheezit or someone else will have the exact pressure cranking)that might be a pita to get for cheap.Good luck with the job prospect.
