Put Me In Coach!

as per Ken's Reply

Dennis or Eric, I would like to announce my desire to be a Moderator. I meet all of the qualifications (I feel) except the 1 year time limit - although I have been active since I got here every day - and the recommendation by another Moderator...anyone want to sponsor me?

I do have some other qualifications that I feel may be beneficial. I was the "moderator" of a couple other forums at different times. One was a prayer Forums where I had to monitor prayer requests and weed out the inevitable sarcastic or inappropriate remarks.
Another was a HTML Help Forum that I monitored and assigned other volunteers to help out those asking for HTML advice.

I would be willing to Moderate any Forum needing it but when we get an Alaska Chapter Forum, that would be excellent!

Please keep me in mind and if you need my help, I'm here for you.

Do you have a shirt with a target on the back ?

Apparently, that too is a pre-requisite

I'll write your name down in my possible Mod book .

We won't be activating any new mod's for a little while yet.

There is some code writing going on right now.

Me too. I would be willing to mod the Indiana chapter and the performance and engine building.

Eventually Ken wants to make it so the Chapter Leader's will moderate their own Chapter. They will be able to edit, move, delete posts. Also make Stickies as well. Makes it a bit easier for the Moderators/Admin. If you want something done then you can do it instead of going through them. At least that's how I have interpreted Ken's "goals"!

Moderators can't even delete posts.

One of the main reasons for not being able to edit is so Nothing from a post is lost.

Moderators are asked to *use code to hide the violation* not remove it.

It isn't a matter of trust or dis-respect I assure you.

Ken writes the rules (code) and we just apply it.

Rollie, you have to be someone that a Hooters girl will sit next to voluntarily...

-Maybe that was because I looked "safe" as opposed to... -hehe!

Actually even tho Dennis and I will be setting up Mods etc Ken still makes the rules and we are waiting for a qualifications list from him. As some of you know he has been quite busy for a while with his responsibilities.
