Okay, some of you know I smashed a tranny this weekend. Well, I have 2 spare trannys, but they are 2x4. I was thinking about buying another tranny and transfer case setup, just for the spare case.
I've seen a couple tranny and transfer case combos for around $500. But they are out of an 89 and 93. Both had the 7.3l diesel in front of them.
Are those the same tranny and transfer cases we have in our trucks? All the rebuild kits say they are up to 95.
that was some good info there reps on the way for the link. Cody, i'm texting Dustin right now to see if that other ZF5 he has is 2wd or 4wd. i will text you if it's a 4wd trans.
I was planning a swap to put the ZF5 into mine. I have a '88 with a 7.3 and it will bolt up to any 7.3, just need the clutch and flywheel from the year you are swapping in to.
