Borlas or not?

I am thinking of buying a Borlas pro-xs muffler and was wondering
if anyone has ever heard them, I want something that isn't too loud (annoying loud) but, something not stock sounding, something with a nice purrr to it , they have this on ebay for $86.00 sounds like a good deal, I have a 93 F150 302 4x4
flareside, e40d trans. and the muffler is about to fall off so its
time to replace it, I'm also going to replace the cats with catco's
was also wondering do I have to do both or would one be okay.. Thanks for any info...

Borlas or not?

I've got a 3.0L Ranger and put a Gibson single swept side on
it. It has a great sound, but no "droan" cruising at highway
speeds like you would get from a Flowmaster, or similar
exhaust system.....

Borla seems to be a bit overpriced but made VERY well. Gibson is cheap but decent product. Flowmaster puts alot of $$ into R&D work and is a good muffler & or systems. Cant go wrong with a flowmaster 50 series nice sound very mellow but not to loud and no drone.

Never heard Borlas... but they seem a bit to pricey. Gibson's are decent quality BUT are extremely quiet... just a slight rumble over stock. Flowmasters sound nice BUT tend to drone at certain rpm's (I love that sound!!) Magnaflows are very good quality, sound deep and mellow and really open up when you stomp on it. They come in stainless steel and aluminized... That's what I'd get if I were you. :-xo6
