2004 6.0L 32k miles. will not start when cold. will fire after cranking a long
time. New batteries. I checked the FICM had 47.7V but when cranking had 22V. I pulled the FICM and checked the harness for chaffing, ect. After replacing FICM the truck started and ran like it was new. The next morrnig it would not start . I notice white smoke when cranking. If it does fire it will run maybe 2 seconds and cut out . could I have a bad FICM
It sounds like the FICM is bad, or just in need of repair. When you removed the FICM did you perform the repair procedure? If you got 22V cranking, it might be worthwhile performing the repair, or sending your FICM to Swamps for repair.
