I chose to go this route while i installed the intake. Plus he had everything i needed to install it, without having to drive all around town scrounging up filter base, fittings, clamps, hoses, etc.
Just sayin' I have basically the same battery tray in my truck. I could buy a Tymar filter kit if I felt so inclined and bolt it right up just like you did. You don't need The Tymar intake kit to have a slick coolant filter mount.

No Shiiit! LOL. Like i said, he had all the parts right there while doing my injectors and my intake, so one stop shop too
So your saying 01 afe will fit in and 02. It just won't have the indicator on the 01 air box? Reason why I ask is I want to take out my afe stage 1 and put it in my 02. Then I am going to order a 6637 kit. Is the 6637 that loud and anoying or is it something you just have to get used to.
You don't need to order the 6637 kit. I just took one off my truck you can have if you want. I just installed the Ford AIS because I did'nt like the idea of sucking hot underhood air. PM me your addy and I'll send it to you. All you will need is a new filter.

where did you get the AIS and how much (if u dont mind me asking)
I can get the AIS through Amsoil for $225.00 plus shipping. I took that information to my local dealer and he matched the price. Only took a cuople days to get it. I can still get them through Amsoil if anyone one is interested.
Hot underhood air, got me 463hp. and it got SuperDoodie 563
The AIS is also a lot quieter on those long road trips.
I see in your sig, your are looking at an Airdog in the future. I have a FASS that will be coming of my truck for sale when the weather gets nicer. I'm going to do the intank mods and use the money from the FASS toward a regulated return.

Sounds like fun and looks like a really nice truck. I just took a huge paycut so my mods are coming really slow now. Intercooler, 38R, and stage 1 singles are on the list. I'm not really looking for huge power, just a long lasting fuel efficient truck to pull a TT with.
