I feel like my truck over revs when i punch it on highway entrance ramps. I've always noticed that it will rev up to 4k-4500 rpms before it shifts when the pedals on the floor. Usually ill back off the gas to get it to shift up back into its power range it was actually worse when i had straight pipe just because it could rev-up easier.
Is this normal to what everyone else has going with their 460/e40d combo? Would a shift kit get me the shifts im looking for or what else should i try?
Thanks for the help i don't make a habit of flooring it but if traffics coming up fast or if the mood happens to strike i do
This seems. Normal, I have had two 351/E4OD trucks. Both behaved like you are describing. This makes a little sense to overshoot the powerband if you are going to be pulling. I just back off of the accelerator a bit when I want to shift. I've seen from the track that this will give you slight gains in acceleration.
