transmission problems

yes i check the fluid levels and condition. A little noise when you put it in reverse but thats it . Everything else works fine. I can drive it down the road just not in high gear. I think i saying high gear correctly maybe . It will go forward in only 1 gear.

Are you saying that the transmission will not shift automatically in the forward drive gears and no reverse at all???? If so could be the CPU that controls the electronic shifter. Oh wait a minute, you have the 4R100 4spd or TorqShift 5spd???????

There is no electronic shifter on either the 4R100 or the TorqShift. Both have mechanical drive or reverse engagements. He has a 4R100.
There is something mechanical broken. There is nothing electronic that will keep it from engaging reverse.
