I have removed the front sway-bar for now, got tired of the constant rattle. I have thought of a permanent fix for this. (at least I hope so) I have tried star washers, they work for awhile , probably no more than a week. Mine rattles where the large bolts attach the drop links to the frame.... If what I have in mind works, I'll post some pics of what i did.... later, Bill
curse you.. here I thought you had something going and I was going to jump on the band wagon..
Your as Bad as Mark the other day with almost telling us who the LOUSY vendor was.. Who was that LOUSY VENDOR, oh thats right,, SCAN GAGE.. Anyhow.. tease us like that..
Success! This eliminated one source of the noise, now to get some new bushings because when I had it off I noticed they are worn, they were new 3 years ago.
Here's a couple of pics, I just welded the nuts on and put an extra one on to keep it locked. These are the brackets the links attach to.
Those of you that don't have an early 99 don't have this option, the swaybar on the late model attaches through the frame and a cast bracket bolted inside the frame rail.
Yes, I was looking at some other posts on sway bar bushings and mine look different than the newer style, don't need a press for getting the old ones out. Probably way they wore so quick.

I was just saying, WTF is this for??? Thanks for making me stop thinking about where that goes.
